More fog, rain, cold and wind coming from the
direction in which we'd like to go.
Several new records were achieved on Harmonie
today:
1) Most number of clothing layers worn:
5
2) Lowest temperature recorded in the cabin
during daylight hours: 59.5F
We cut our day short again today - this time
because a gale warning was issued for the area we are in. [Non-boater
translation: a gale is wind greater than 34 knots or 39 mph.] Of
course this wind is coming from the proper direction - it's just that
there is too much of it.
Such is the life of us sailors.
Tomorrow (Sunday, 8/19) we are hoping to see the
sun, and when we do, we will head for Shelburne Harbor. We will wait there
for decent weather for our crossing to Maine.
If you are warm where you are, enjoy
it.
