June 14th. Another day, another long
sail. 8.5 hours, 60 miles. Or, motorsail really. It took a
good 5 hours to get away from the wind protection provided by the
Great Dividing Range as we crossed Princess Charlotte Bay. After
that it was back into the wind again. Right about then Don caught our
first edible fish of the season. A gorgeous blue tuna with a silver
belly. There was grilled tuna for the Storyteller crew on
Harmonie that night. All good.

Picture 2 - Blue fin tuna realizing that going
after that bright pink plastic squid was probably a bad idea.
Picture 3 - Morris Island. Not much to look
at and not much in the way of wind protection, but at least the water was calm
while the wind roared through Harmonie's rigging.
There were several boats stopped here for the night
and we heard a couple of boaters talking on the radio about large croc
tracks spied on the beach. We didn't go ashore. Or
swim.
