All naked, all the time. Yup, a charter sailboat full of
eight German guys pulled up beside us at our next anchorage off Koh Dam
Khwan on February 21st, and dropped anchor as close as
possible so we could see what they were having for lunch.
Lunch wasn't the only thing we could see. A little bit of naked can be
good, and is to be expected on a sailboat in the tropics; but a lot of naked is
a little bit unusual - especially eight times a lot of naked. They stayed
that way all day - swimming naked, showering on the stern naked,
sharing cocktails naked, eating dinner naked. They didn't seem to
mind Bill snapping photos - even at dusk when the flash went off.
After dark we couldn't see if they were still naked, but we did enjoy their
rendition of blues songs sung in German. Seriously, they
really weren't bad.
 In the morning they were still naked.
Naked is not a bad way to cope with the
melt-your-face-off heat and humidity in this part of the world,
but the germ-o-phobe in me just can't help picturing those
eight bare, sweaty butts pressing themselves all over the cockpit
cushions and cabin upholstery for a week. Wonder who chartered
the boat the next week? : )
