After exiting the C&D Canal on Tuesday
afternoon (9/25), we continued on a little further to where the Sassafras River
meets the Chesapeake and found a good place to anchor (picture below). We
were in good company as there were several other boats anchored there including
a Coast Guard cutter. Too bad we didn't know the bat was still in the
garage, otherwise we could have called in the Coast Guard to rescue
us.
We celebrated our fourth successful overnighter of
the trip with a good bottle of chardonnay (picture of Don celebrating below),
and planned the rest of our trip to Baltimore for the next day.
