We left this morning (September 27th) as planned at 5:30am (a struggle for us retirees) prepared for a slow 36 hour sail with lots of motoring.

And now here we are after 14 hours of pure, marvelous sailing with the wind on the port beam at 15 knots, heeled only about 10 degrees and going over 7 knots.  No complaints from our end of the world!

We have lots of company with thirty boats in this short rally - about ten of them are within a ten mile radius of us, which should make the night watch interesting.  We expect to arrive at Ouvea sometime tomorrow afternoon.  Or earlier if this keeps up.

More after we arrive.
Cheers from the very well-behaved South Pacific high seas -
Anne
