On Sunday (6/29), the wind came around to the south, so we left the southern facing bay on the island of Waya with Branec, and made our way back to Saweni Bay on Viti Levu Island where we knew the anchorage would be protected from the southern wind.  Lady Kay opted to venture further north in search of an uninhabited bay on Waya Island where they could enjoy the scenery in solitude (they weren't all that interested in going back to the scene of their close encounter with a reef in Saweni Bay anyway).

Once in Saweni Bay, we spent a quiet evening celebrating our twelfth wedding anniversary.  Very quiet indeed.  The night before wasn't quiet in the least because Michael and Jackie from Lady Kay and Sabine and Roger from Branec spent the evening on board Harmonie for dinner.  We did eat dinner, in between drinking the various wines everyone brought.  Roger, who was a serious solo ocean racing sailor before taking on crew and joining the World ARC rally with his racing trimaran, doesn't drink, and was probably thankful for that the next day.  We told him he was the first Frenchman we had ever met that did not drink wine.  We're not sure if he took this to be a compliment or not.  At any rate, we had a nice anniversary floating in the calm waters of Saweni Bay.

The attached picture was taken just after the anchor came up (with Don's help) and right before leaving Saweni Bay the next day.  The big island of Viti Levu is in the background.
