Bar Montenegro

We left Mandraki around 1100
with the intention of making a stop in a bay to the north of Corfu for
an overnight anchor and an early start on Monday. However the conditions
seemed to be very good for continuing which is what we did! The initial
part of the passage was fine but as we left Greek waters the seas from
the west were a bit lumpy and then the wind dropped so it made for quite
an uncomfortable journey for the middle hours. However the further north
we went the smoother the seas and the wind came in during the evening to
an easterly which meant some proper sailing. We saw very little traffic
on the way a few ferries and one yacht in the distance going south. The
last 6 hours of the passage were in lovely warm sunshine and a force 3
from the ESE which meant we actually sailed! There was a favourable
current with us the whole way until about a mile off the Bar coast. The
town of Bar is pretty non-descript and we have decided to just stay one
night. It has cost us 220 Euros for a month's vignette in Montenegro and
the small marina was 55 Euros for one night!

Plan to head north again
to an anchorage before getting to the area everyone says is beautiful
around Kotor where we hope to spend at least a couple of weeks
exploring.
