Tuesday 31st May
We left the islands at 0630 and motored again heading south for our next stop - a small fishing and ferry port on the mainland. It was a misty start with no wind
but with a favourable current we were very soon at our destination. We had been told about this place by friends met in Kusidasi and it has proved to be well worth the stop.
A small town with a well sheltered harbour where yachts are welcomed by an English speaking Harbour Master. There is water and electricity on the concrete quay and boats tend to go along side here
rather than anchor and reverse in. It was market day today so we were able to purchase some cherries and apricots as well as some delicious freshly baked bread. The ferry comes here twice a day
from Istanbul and we discovered that the owners of a French yacht moored here have left it for a month while they go home! The HM is looking after it!!
Plan to leave tomorrow for a longer sail to the island of Marmara.
