A social day with many skype calls at the local coffee shop, the only place in town with Wifi.

Massive thanks must go to Mark from Wight Support, together with Head Mistress Mrs Miller, who have both been determined to get the system to work; 9am this morning we were able to have a wonderfully uplifting skype session with the children's school during Friday Assembly, quite remarkable to see Harry and Isabelle's faces projected onto the white board on the hall wall. Thank you to all the children and staff for beautiful singing, and to the children who came up to the front to speak with us. We loved seeing you all waving and were very moved to hear you singing Isabelle's requested song and have been on a high all day! Isn't technology wonderful when it works. We hope to do it again later on this term, perhaps before we leave for our ocean crossing.

Muros Market was up and running after Assembly so we wandered along the seafront taking in the smells of salted meats and fresh fruit. You may wonder what we're looking at on the meat stall............ a flattened pigs head. The fruit stall was more appealing.

Some maths and lego before returning to the coffee shop for more lovely skype calls.

The Wightlink Wight Challenge is tomorrow, our thoughts are with Claire and Eric who have taken over the running of the 2014 & 2015 events. Good luck to them, the 45 teams, the marshals, the time keepers, photographers, helpers, sponsors, supporters and three charities. Fingers crossed all goes well for the tenth anniversary year; it feels very strange to be here!

Occasional 20 knot gusts here, but starting to calm down in the anchorage finally.
