Alcoutim/Sanlucar, River Guadiana

We didn't go bird watching last night as the children ended up making pots out of the Alcoutim river clay, the masterpieces are now drying in the sunshine on the aft deck. We have had a quiet morning on board today with more clay making, this time out of air-drying clay given to the children by Alexander last Christmas.

We have started Swallows and Amazons "Peter Duck" and Isabelle came in early to request we do some more chapters. We then got the chart out to see the sailing route taken by the schooner 'Wild Cat'. One thing this trip will have accomplished will be an improvement in everyone's Geography and it is very rewarding to hear Harry and Isabelle talking about the countries and islands around the Atlantic.

Around town there are these lovely ceramic tiles showing life many years ago, some included below.

A couple more days of this message if you have just logged onto our blog;
Do you, or anyone you know, have 2-3 weeks available to do some spring sailing?  We are looking for a seasick-proof safe pair of hands preferably with offshore experience to help us sail back from the Algarve to St Malo at the beginning of May (without the children). If you are interested and would like more information, please could you email the boat at sadlertc {CHANGE TO AT} gmail {DOT} com. Expenses paid. Thank you.
