Portimao

All safely tucked up in Portimao Marina after a 32 mile downwind sleigh ride. We are all pretty shattered but delighted to be here as there is strong wind due and we didn't wish to remain at Culatra where we have heard several stories of boats dragging anchors in the soft sand.

Amazingly TC set a new speed record today and we had 12.7knots on the GPS when two consecutive waves picked us up and TC surfed, it was a very exciting if rather alarming experience and thankfully not repeated; we generally stuck at our normal downwind speed of around 5~6knots.

Despite trailing two delicious looking lures we failed to catch any fish today which was sad as it is our last long leg in these waters and we were all rather anticipating fresh Bonito for supper... Not to be.

A few days planned in Portimao
