Marina da Lagos

30 knots from the south are due here on Wednesday so we may be here a week, that's fine with us as it is an interesting town and the marina is very comfortable (almost too comfortable!) and with none of the swell and squealing ropes and fenders we had in Leixoes, Cascais, Oerias or Sines. Also the winter rates are fairly digestible thankfully.

Harry went fishing off the breakwater, the chap next to him caught a large Sea Bass so there is hope.

A photographic blog today. We walked a few miles out to the headland we'd rounded before coming into Lagos; Pta da Pietade. There were some wonderful shapes in the cliff where the sea has pounded out arches and caves, quite a touristy hot spot but fun to see. Cape St Vincent was visible in the distance and behind Pta da Pietade lighthouse we spotted an enormous camera scanning the horizon, slowly moving from left to right, clearly nothing gets past without being recorded.

Incredibly quiet outside tonight.
