Alcaidesa Marina, La Linea, Spain

Major change of plan this end ~ we had every intention to visit Morocco today but have sadly had a major change of plan. Three things contributed to this;

Firstly we went to pay for our nights at Hercules Marina and found it three times what we had expected, the marina was our most expensive in seven months. Secondly, today's weather forecast was not very good and we would have had a gale and rain during our planned visit to Tetouan, Morocco. Thirdly, a tremendous levanter storm is brewing meaning Wednesday and Thursday would have been very uncomfortable in the exposed Hercules Marina yet we would have been trapped there until Friday.

So with heavy hearts we left Ceuta this morning during a small lull and spent most of the day getting back to La Linea which is 100m north of Gibraltar airport. Crossing the Straits was busy with shipping, gusts and squalls, so we were pleased to get into Alcaidesa Marina. Also delighted to join Lewis and Theresa for a jolly happy hour on Spiral and listen to the wind howling outside, knowing we were all tied up and safe.
