Rota

All pretty tired after our excursion to Seville so a very slow start and relaxed day on board. Bol was super-dad making a lure with Harry out of a crisp packet and a plastic bottle top, they then made a second lure which included a 'paravane' that should sink, that way we will have one hook bobbing along the surface of the water, and one a few metres below the surface.

Isabelle made a den in the cockpit and played with her toys in the sunshine. I left them to it and strolled up the beach where there is a board-walk in amongst the pine trees, the area is well protected as there are wild chameleons in the bushes, I didn't see any today but will try and return when it is quieter as Rota seemed to explode with people today, apparently many folk come down from Seville at weekends.

The weather forecast promises a levanter brewing for Thursday with 50 knots in the Gibraltar Straits. This means two things; firstly we are delighted not to be in the Gibraltar Straits, and secondly we will hitch a ride on the easterly blow that should take us the 60 miles to the River Guadiana, where we spent Christmas.  It should be warmer there now and we have the unfinished business of finding wild terrapins in the Vascao.
