We have really had a cracking day today which began with Fred fishing another birthday present for Bol out of the harbour.....

A relaxed start with time to explore Peniche Fort housing an exhibition celebrating the 25th April 1974 revolution which began here in Peniche (and also in Lisbon where Fred coincidentally was visiting Lisbon in 1974 when all hell broke loose around him!).

500 year old Peniche Fort had been converted to a prison and housed political prisoners who were released during the revolution. We managed to find our way into the cells and have a walk around the eerie block which housed misery for 40 years.

After an early lunch we headed off into a beautiful sunny (relatively) calm sea and really had a lovely sail north to Nazare. We set Harry's reel and after one false alarm when we reeled in a large plastic bag (very disappointing) we were well rewarded with this fabulous fish which we have just begun this evening at supper, more for lunch tomorrow. Any guesses on the weight?
