Alcoutim

Bol went ashore to the library before it shuts for the rest of the week, he put his brain into gear to help with the Wight Challenge website.

I had the easier/harder task of entertaining two smalls on board without the dinghy. However, at the Vascao we gathered lots of wild lavender to dry, and are busy sewing little bags to put them in ~ Isabelle's idea of makey-doey heaven. She asked to learn how to sew and these are nice and quick to make with instant and pleasing results.

Harry has been sorting all the fishing gear and bagging and labelling the traces he has been making.

Thanks to the iPod's replay button, by the end of the morning we had learnt the words to Flanders & Swann's   "Song of the Weather" and "A Transport of Delight". Grandpa Robin would be delighted although we are not as word perfect as he was!

A calm, beautiful, sunny day on the River, after our coldest night yet at 8 degrees in the saloon. We've been told the coast is generally warmer in the winter. Bracing for zero tonight.
