We have remained in Camaret-sur-Mer, North Brittany, catching our breath and enjoying stopping. We feel we've rather been on-the-go for quite a few months now so it is good to stop for a bit.

This isn't entirely our choice however for their is a large low marching its way across the Atlantic and heading this way. We check the weather daily via "Grib files" a brilliant weather package that you just highlight the area you wish to know about and 30 seconds later a synoptic chart is emailed through. We can look forward 5 days so can see that by Friday there will be some nasty wind (gale Fore 8) right in the middle of the Bay of Biscay so it is pointless heading straight out into that. We may move anchorage tomorrow or Thursday to one that is more sheltered than this as swell can go around corners which would mean us swaying quite a bit - exhausting!

However today was very pleasant. We went ashore for a picnic lunch on the beach, more baguettes and French cheese, the children did some fine beach art and I collected wood. The plan was to have a BBQ supper - Harry said he needed some steak... so I got steak... BUT after they they'd had their swim and we'd returned to the boat to prepare for the BBQ, the heavens opened and it has been raining ever since. Steak was downgraded to beans on toast as Isabelle sensibly suggested we save the steak for tomorrow... let's hope it is sunny again.

There is a sailing regatta in the bay tomorrow. Today we have been surrounded by teenagers having catamaran lessons, a great sight including the nervous instructors as they fly about on their RIBS after the catamarans which are frequentloy out of control, quite near us, and sometimes capsizing.

Thank you so much for lovely emails, it is good to know that the blog is working. I am impressed by the water consumptions, more questions will be sent through in due course....

That's it for now xx
