Marina da Lagos

It is most odd but the marina water has turned to muddy brown, we have had 24hours of rain now and TC looks like she is floating in milk chocolate.

In between downpours we explored "down town Lagos", and stumbled upon a shop that sold wood burning stoves. The friendly proprietor had heard of Charnwood Stoves and knew of Bol's designs which was very pleasing.

This evening we walked to the breakwater, it was a different scene to the tranquil sight that greeted us at midnight on Saturday. Metre high waves were rolling into the entrance, white horses continued well up into the river and the calm beach where Isabelle played and Harry fished was roaring and foaming, it always seems a little more exciting and dramatic at night time and the children loved it. We gazed out into the dark night and felt even happier and grateful to be here!

More on Captain Cook, Bol got out TC's sextant to show the children, hopefully we'll get a chance to have a go with it these next few months.
