Sines, a quiet day.

School 'maths' was angles and we ended up working out the angles to get to our next destination. Then some 'history' when we touched upon Henry the Navigator. Thanks to Shalfleet School for providing some inspired ideas for writing! Then we all came up for air and the children did some fishing off the pontoon, nothing big enough to eat, one unlucky fish was caught and chopped up for bait!

We found a place to refill scuba tanks here in the marina, so Bol dived and scrubbed TC's hull knowing we can refill before leaving here. He wore two wetsuits (mine, then his) and was able to stay down 40 minutes covering most of the hull but was chilly by the end. The hull was velvety to touch but thanks to the copper coat, the slime came off quite well with a scrubber :-)

Mass exodus of French boats who were sailing in convoy to the Canaries. The gale is over and we are peacefully back at anchor in Sines Bay.
I had hoped to have a bonfire on the beach to mark 5th November but there was no drift wood!
