Bayona

It is 4pm, we're writing this early as we're about to head off south, there is an on-shore breeze so we're hoping it will hold through the night despite our new neighbours telling us there is 'no wind out there'.

Thursday's Child and crew are all ready to leave but with only 63 miles to Leixoes (3 miles north of Porto) we can't leave too early otherwise we'll arrive before sunrise.

Thank you to Hamish for translating the word 'Mira' ~ what we thought was the type of fish Harry caught. Last laugh on me again, it means 'Look'. So instead of telling us what was in his bucket, he was telling us to have a look in his bucket!  How on earth are we going to cope with Portuguese?

A very pleasing job completed earlier; all the Channel and Biscay pilots and charts put into long-term storage under a bunk and charts for Portugal and Madeira were dug out.
