37:28.056N 007:28.092W Alcoutim/Sanlucar We have concluded that the donkeys don't like rain, after 4 days of silence, they began eeee-oooring again today down the river to each other. More admin, the children are being very tolerant but hopefully by the end of tomorrow everything will be sorted for the remaining 3 months afloat. We have needed new charts of N France, book flights for crews in both directions and order books on the Channel Islands and Normandy Beaches, to ensure we make the most of our last part of the trip from St Malo to Ouistreham. Although we were at anchor today, in the 30 knots that howled down the River, TC was sailing at 1.8 knots round and round her anchor. Pretty alarming but in 2.5m depth and with 40 metres of chain down, we felt pretty secure. Fortunately it is now calm again and we've been promised summer is on its way, 25 degrees at the weekend. |
