An exhausting but enjoyable day which began with a tram ride to the 500 year old fairytale Torre de Belem, fortress and show piece on the river bank. There was an air of tranquillity about the place situated on the river and far away from the hustle and bustle of city life and fast cars.

We then visited the Nautical Museum which we all four really enjoyed. The models were beautifully crafted and the children were particularly engaged which was rewarding to see. Back to TC for a quiet evening as everyone pleasantly tired.

We are clearly rather removed from normality because Harry wondered why there was a little girl dressed up as a witch waiting at the bus stop. Fortunately no pressure to decorate pumpkins this year.
