Splendid sail here from Penzance with a following
wind, and apart from the overfalls at the Lizard, calm seas. Our delayed
departure from Penzance gave me a chance to cycle to Lands End and back: about
25 miles, but lots of hills, honest! Never been to 'Disney World Lands End'
before; if this is the future then beam me up now, Scotty!
Falmouth was in the throes of Regatta when we
arrived: just two hours before the Red Arrows, for which we had ring side seats,
perfect timing. Tomorrow it should be a straightforward run back to Fowey,
though 8 yeas ago the passage in the opposite direction was completed in thick
fog, Ah, the British Summer!
