A good overnight wind bought unusually big seas, so
massive rolling, but at least the sails were not flapping about: they were
straining at the leash, and pushing us along at up to 8 knots. So getting to
within motoring distance of the Azores now, will head for Flores and hope to get
in there and not have to deal with onshore winds and swell. Geoff sends me
wonderfully detailed forecasts that I never quite take all in: so the bits
that I don't tgrasp leave me worrying! His retirement plans have ground to a
halt in Stanstead's departure lounge: bet he wishes he was back at
work!
