Currently enjoying about three knots of current from astern, which very much makes up for an overcast day with frequent squally showers, and even some thunder at dawn. We seem to be in heavy shipping traffic right now, with three boats doing their best to inflict further damage on the rig in the last 24 hours. And now another downpour, so I have to get up and close the companionway. The heavy rain is finding its way through the various deck leak areas, much to my chagrin, but fresh water is better than sea water so far as the delaminating plywood is concerned!!

Life on board is otherwise relaxed, and pleasant. The attention to actually sailing along makes things more interesting than on the long trade wind passages, but I shall soon start moaning if the wind comes right round into the wrong direction! A bit of an epidemiological mystery as I now have three infected finger nails, they have cropped up at three day intervals, so no longer sure what is causing them. The first is getting better now, so not too worrying or disabling.

Will sign off now, this squall is quite a big one, and the seas build rapidly. Need to love the computer!
