On the way..

A varied start to our voyage... We left Weymouth at 06:30 in very light winds, so we hoisted our light weight genoa and zipped along nicely, seeing Weymouth then Portland slip away behind us.
The wind picked up and we swapped to our brand new Yankee jib, which set beautifully, however the wind continued to rise, and was right on our nose and Falmouth seemed like a long beat, so we dropped the main and finished the day motor sailing, seeing the watercolour headlands slowly solidify into silhouette layered on silhouette.
The entry into Dartmouth is timeless, passing ancient outposts on the hillsides you slide past cascades of multicolourd cottages tumbling down to the water line.
A well earned sit down now, along with cold cider - well we are in Devon!
