It was back across the Chesapeake for the 75nm sail to Crisfield.  We anchored for the night before moving round to Somers Cove Marina the following morning to meet up with other OCC Rallyers, including our friends David on Blue Yonder and Martin & Tina on Petronella.

The first leg of the Rally was a short 35nm trip to Little Bay, which we enjoyed a reefed down sail in 15-20 knots SW’ly.  We had a great beach party with other OCC’ers and members of Fishing Bay Yacht Club (FBYC) and afterwards enjoyed dinner on board Petronella.

Another squally day followed and again we reefed down in 17knots SE’ly. One of our best sails of the year to complete the 31nm to East River, Mobjack Bay.

With rain in the night, we woke up to a misty morning and motored the 21nm to Sarah Creek, also in Mobjack Bay.  We anchored outside York River Yacht Haven and buckets of rain fell whilst we all ventured ashore for a tour of VIMS (Virginia Institute of Marine Science), which Bill and Lydia Strickland kindly organised.
