Due to strong Coromuel winds affecting the last anchorage in La Partida we didn’t want to spend another night ‘bouncing around’ and decided to head south. This meant bashing into headwinds for the first 10 miles, but as we gradually turned east towards into the Canal de San Lorenzo, the wind shifted to allow us to sail. In fact we ended up making over 7.0knots SOG on a beam reach, as we sailed through the Canal. By the time we arrived in Los Muertos some 50 miles later, is was dusk so we wanted to get the anchor down before dark. Glad we did as we may not have spotted a 25ft trailer sailor anchored with any lights!
