St Mary's, Isles of Scilly - 22 July

At last, we're here.  We passed Bishop Rock around 8.30 this morning:

Bishop Rock Lighthouse

We are back in the UK for the first time in over a year.  Although we haven't been ashore yet, we have seen a red double decker (on the road along the seafront in St Mary's) and have eaten bread from Tesco (thanks to Blue Argolis, another yacht in this anchorage, who also gave us gin and tonic when we arrived).

Our log shows that we have covered 1,419 miles - a rather circuitous route but we did relatively little motoring and had, in general, good winds.  It has taken us 9 days from the Azores.

St Mary's looks a pretty town and we are off to explore now.

No sign of that heatwave!!!
