Tobago Cays - 17 February

After spending one night on the island of Canouan, in order to fill up with water (our water maker is on the blink) we headed back to Tobago Cays today.  At last the wind has abated and the swell is down, making the Cays a great place to revisit.  It has really felt like a homecoming and we motored through the narrow southern entrance with our friends on the Formosa 50 yacht called Wild Alliance.

Passage between Petit Bateau and Petit Rameau

We are very happy to be back here (again!) and spent a fantastic afternoon snorkelling on the reef, where we saw a pick and mix of fish - there seemed to be one of everything, from a large pink parrot fish pecking away at the coral to a juvenile spotted trunk fish.

We will be here until Sunday, when we drop David and Bridget off in Carriacou for their journey home.  Then we will head north, the next fixed date to be in Guadeloupe on 1 March.  We are looking forward to provisioning the boat there with some French food and wine.
