Keoma - 28 November

Today was a beautiful hot day - 30 degrees C.  We started the day with a lovely SE wind, although this disappeared around lunchtime.  We decided to go swimming:

Nick, Alice and Juliet Swimming in the Atlantic - imagine blue as far as the eye can see

It was lovely cool water (although it is in fact over 30 degrees) but we felt less buoyant than usual, and there were still smooth Atlantic rollers which looked like hills from the water.

Last night I made some bread - in fact I had made it earlier in the day and abandoned it in disgust when it had failed to rise.  A couple of hours later I had the oven on to make our supper and Amanda persuaded me to put the bread in as well.  Surprisingly it came out really well and there were no jokes about using it as an anchor or asking me whether a winch handle might have been dropped into the pan with the dough, by mistake.

Earlier today we caught another dolphin fish - we put it back as we have had enough of these lately.

We are currently all sitting in the cockpit, listening to music, chatting and watching the stars.  It is so warm that shorts and T shirts are the order of the day.  We have the spinnaker up and are doing 5.5 knots in 8 knots of breeze on flat water, beam reaching.
