Thursday 16th July 2015. 50.7nm, W2-3, showers. 2.4 engine hours. Headed south from our Lofoten departure point we chose this anchorage to get southerly shelter as we were expecting to stay inside the boat hiding from rain for at least a day. In the morning the wind had turned East rather than South so we were much closer to the beach than we wanted but we were still floating. When the rain stopped we paddled the few yards to the white beach and crunched over the broken shells. No sand at all just bit grit made of shells. There were a couple of summer cottages hidden in the dunes but these were deserted so we had a lovely time exploring and scrambling around the rocks searching for treasure. We found a glass float and 3 metal ones with handles - floats not mines we hope now they are in the aft locker designated as garden ornaments. Stunning location.
