Saturday 11th July 2015. 16.4nm. 3.3 engine hours. Quite sunny. Location: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As very settled and sunny weather was forecast we decided to head to this quiet island and anchor. On the way we paused over some rocky shallows and dropped our hand fishing line in about 20 metres. Without us noticing and within a few minutes we had 2 fish about a foot long. We were actually bringing the line in so we could go over a deeper bit. We examined the catch against the poster we bought locally and concluded they were Coley. Not top of the white fish deliciousness scale but nevertheless we enjoyed them for dinner.

There are 6 hooks on the line so next time we try we’ll have to take some off as we don’t need 6 fish all at the same time.

Our anchorage was stunning but still not warm enough to have dinner outside without it getting cold.

2 Coley being bludgeoned with the winch handle.

Bon appetite
