The predicted north easterlies did not materialise for the start and we drifted across the start line in about 3 kts of wind from the south west!  The night saw the predicted winds arrive and as we headed south west the number of other boats in sight gradually reduced from about a hundred to the two we still have in sight.  Some are ahead, some are astern (I hope!) whilst others have chosen a more easterly or westerly route.

 

We now have two reefs in the main with the genoa in 25kts of north westerly breeze.  Azores, here we come!
