Hi All,
Last night at sea for a while, we wll all be glad
to arrive in Tonga tomorrow, only 55 nm to go - hooray! This passge has been our
longest and most challenging to date, but despite the heavy weather and other
adventures, the boat and crew are holdig up very well indeed.
Last night we fell ito a bit of a hole windwise for
seven hours so we just pretended we were at anchor until the breeze sprug up at
abut 0100 this morning. In keeping with the quarrantine requirements, we have
been reducing our fresh food holdings to such an extent that there are now
sevral six-packs f beer in the food fridge. Won't see that again for a
while....
Tomorrow romises to be a busy one with custom
clearance on arrival, a big cleanup of the boat, and then ashore to "Big Mama's"
our rally base at Pangiomotu Island for the usual end of passage Bachhanalian
feast. This one might be bigger than usual....
So, until tomorrow, TTFN
P.S. Mark and Ange, will confrm by blog our safe
arrival tomorrow so you can cancel the SAR Watch when you see it. Thanks for the
cover.
