We departed Cairns this morningnafter an eleven day visit - didn't do much really, other than enjoy the first world and have a bit of a holiday. We delayed departure 24 hours to catch up with the Cheetahs and the Midnight Blues (both boats with kids we met in PNG). This unfortunately has robbed us of the good northely breezes yesterday and has us hard on the wind trying to get south.
Our plan is to get ourselves under the lee (i.e. in behind) of Hinchinbrook Island for the next few days before we make Townsville to catch up with the Eveready's. Tonight will be the first night that we sail through without a third adult onboard - we miss you already Allan and Graham!
