With the wind in the SSW at 25 - 35 knots we decided that instead of dropping John off at Devonport (which would have involved a big smash to windward in very rough conditions), we would drop him at the Waiheke Is ferry at Matiatia Bay. After a big sunday brekky we sailed across to Waiheke with about 40% of the Genoa out, surfing most of the way. Once we farewelled John, it was around to our old bolt hole at Oneroa Bay, where we are now sheltering from consistent 35 knot SW winds. A quiet Sunday is on the books!
