Hi All,

Alan arrived yesterday and we departed GH at about 1700 and headed out to the Great Barrier Island. Initially we motored and then a light SW came which allowed us to sail for a few hours while we had dinner and a couple of sundowners on a perfect gulf evening. With the sunset the wind left us and so we motored the last three hours to anchor at Smokehouse Bay, arriving shortly before midnight. Following a Mount Gay and L+P (sweet as, bro...), we hit the sack.

Early this morning the rain came in showers. We went ashore for a walk this morning, meeting a large number of local cruisers who were smoking a feed of fish in the smokehouse. As I write, the school has begun.....

Tonight, weather permitting, we will take a butterfly lamb roast ashore to have on the BBQ, with one or two wines/rums....
