Hi All,

Another pearler of a day in the beautiful north of NZ! After the excitement of yesterday and the swimming with the dolphins, we had a late start and got away from the anchorage shortly before 1000. We then had a pleasant sail down to Cathedral Cove where we anchored for a short while but didn't go ashore due to the surf on the beach and a contrary wind shift. This one was in the forecast, it just turned up at a bad time!

We are now in picturesque Whitianga, the second most expensive marina in NZ at $NZD35 a night. Outrageous! It is almost as much as the cheapest marina we have stayed in in Australia (Bundaberg City, $AUD28.50 a night). MInd you, $4.00 for four showers makes up for the difference...

The photo below is the taken from our anchorage off Cathedral Cove. The movie buffs among you will recognise it from the Narnia Movie.
