Momentous day - we have just crossed our outbound track to PNG. We are no 20nm ENE of Mackay continuing on to Rosslyn Bay. Unfortunately the mileages haven't been as good as we had hoped, with the seabreeze only being reliable for 10-12hours a day. The rest of the time we slow down to 4-5 knots, ot have to motor at economical speed, about 5 knots. Yesterday we made good only 122nm, still a good day's run, but not quite enough. This means that we will be pushing our luck to make a Thursday ETA at Rosslyn Bay.
Otherwise the weather is excellent, and the spinnaker has been getting a good run. Look forward to catching up with the Clan Gross on (probably) Friday.
