At Last! Great Barrier Island!

We had to put the rig back together temporarily (Friday, no worries! no, worries....).

Here we are at the place we have been trying to get to for the past two months - between the weather (spectacularly changeable) and other commitments (scouts, etal) we haven't been able to get across the Gulf to Great Barrier. Now, at last we are here and are enjoying the "ambience". It must be a popular place in summer - winter starts the day after tomorrow and there are seven other boats in the anchorage (a crowd by NZ standards).

Unfortunately our time here will be cut short - we will have to get back to Gulf Harbour no later than Friday because I (Chris) have to fly out to Darwin Saturday to attend a court case for a fishing vessel apprehension with the Navy earlier in the year. C'est la vie, the money earned will pay for the Rigging work.

Otherwise, it is good to be out of the Marina, and glad we made the move.

Until tomorrow, TTFN
