Ahoy All,

We manged to break away from the comfort of the marina at We late this moring and have now moved across to anchor at Luengoni, which is at the eastern end of Lifou Island. This will allow us a better wind angle to head across to the Isle De Pines either tomorrow or Friday, depending on the weather. As an aside, it was pretty cool last night; we all climbed under our doonas for the first time in five months.

The decision to make straight for We was borne out today as there were four of the rally yachts competing for two berths in the tiny marina as we left this morning. Sometimes crowds are not the best thing!

This bay is absolutely gorgeous, another one out of the brochure. In behind the reef which we had to negotiate to get in, the water is a beautiful turquoise blue, offset by the green of the fringing reef and the deep blue of the ocen beyond. The beach is a bright white with dense green vegetation beyond. In short, another tropical paradise.

Will let you know how tomorrow unfolds.
