Hi All,

Back on the blog trail again, sorry for being a bit erratic while we have been here but the program has been pretty full and spare time has been at a premium.

This morning (Saturday) the bulk of the ICA boats departed Savu Savu, leaving the place kind of quiet. We simply weren't ready to depart, so we spent the day preparing to go with shopping, filling fuel tanks and squaring away. This afternoon we went for a final swim up the hill at the Hot Water Resort (next to some small hot springs where the locals often cook their food). We then had some more of the excellent Copra Shed Pizzas for dinner - it should be our last meal ashore for about three weeks.

Our plan now is to cruise over the top of Vuana Levu Island, visiting a bunch of anchorages as we daysail our way down to Lautoka where we have to complete our next internal clearance with customs. we have purchased five bunches of kava root so that when we visit each village on the way we can present the chief with a gift for being able to share their place. If we are lucky we will be able to do sevu sevu, which is a kava ceremony to welcome us to their village as part of the population. Sounds like fun!

Until tomorrow, TTFN!
