Hi All,
Sailed down here on Saturday with the intention of getting north to the
Bay of Islands in slow time during the week. Unfortunately a cyclone has
put paid to the idea and the weather has been less than suitable!
We are departing this morning (Wednesday 30) and will see how far we get
- we need to be in Opua Friday so that I can get a flight to Oz Saturday
for work (taking a patrol boat around to Darwin from Cairns).
Preparations for our departure to the Pacific are well advanced, with most
stores onboard and gear restowed. Cate's herculean efforts have paid off
with a now tidy boat and everything in its place.
In other news, Alan's son Angus will also be joining us for the passage to
Tonga, so that should be Orsum, especially for the girls who are lacking
kid company at the moment.
