The phone rang, Navy wants me to go to work for the extra two weeks in February. Most of the way through a reply to a cruising friend in mid pacific with a toothache. Huge gust of wind, loud crash, boat lurches, anchor dragging alarm goes off, chain of events now in motion.
Simple, just move anchorage.... move to position to re-anchor, Cate pushes down button on anchor controller, nothing happens. Now we can't anchor.... long and short of it we have moved to the marina in Waikawa, (1.5 hours in 40knot winds, mid winter I think!) just around from Picton. It was the second time we have actually worn foul weather gear in anger!
All is well (better than Brisbane, that's for sure!).
