Today we have sailed to a beautiful little island called Tiri Tiri Matangi. It's a bird sanctuary and scientific research base. We did a short walk which led us to a huge old lighthouse where we saw three DOC (Department of Conservation) workers sitting on plastic chairs drinking beers. The view from the lighthouse was amazing and I'm sorry that I forgot to bring my new camera. On the way back, Sarah stole my croc and ran off with it. I found it on top of a sign saying "Hobb's Beach 5 mins". We also saw some Tuis drinking from a bird feeder. My favourite part of the walk was seeing Greg the Takahe coming right up to us. Takahes look a lot like Pukekos do, only they are quite a lot fatter, and most of thier feathers are slightley green-ish. We are probably going to watch a new movie we have called "Letters to Juliet" if we have enough power. Tommorrow we are going to be back in the marina so we can go to scouts. This Friday is Guy Fawks night, which means we will be allowed to set of fireworks without bieng arrested. I can't wait for that. In less than a month it will be my birthday and I will be turning 12. I can't wait for that either. Grace.
