Position at 2100 NZDT 36 30.21S 174 43.86E

What a great day! Escaped the Marina after lunch to sail around to Orewa, with Chris Dunn (one of the girls' scout leaders) and Melissa (one of their local friends). Once we got there we anchored, had some dinner and then took the scouts for a sail - very noisy. Afterwards we motorsailed the short distance up to the Mahurangi River where we will spend the next couple of days exploring.
