Drheam Cup T-1 Another relaxing day of a few jobs in the sunshine. Ben Ibbotson and Conor Corson Sailing got busy on installing a new windex (manual wind vane up the mast) as my last one had been chewed to bits by seagulls. I did some checking of the exclusion zones around wind farms and mussel farm and shipping lanes. We are not allowed in the TSS ( big ship lanes around headlands).
Conor went for a swim to clean the hull which was only dived a week ago and already dirty.
I was interviewed by the Media …luckily in English ! They asked me about the race and the boat then added on a question about tonight’s football Euros final which I have no real interest in.
Pinky and Perky penguins continued to watch over proceedings and have jumped in my handbag for the skippers brief. We are now in Cherbourg town hall for a weather and safety brief …which we are hoping is not only in French.
