Dawn is approaching (hopefully) on Day 2 of the return leg. After a good start it was a slow afternoon and evening. We were mostly in about 5th or 6th place on the water. We traded places in zephyrs of wind and was close enough to shout hello at Exehibitionist.

Early evening we were tacking up the west side of the island . Just about squeezing 3kts out of the boat. Then as we reached midnight the wind died to 4kts and we unleashed the code zero as the only sail that can make us move. We had a couple of hours where the lead boats were in a wind hole and we were still doing 2kts ...hurrah !! So I think we caught up a bit and don’t think we are doing as badly as YB suggests. The wind will fill from the west so hoping we get the new stronger wind first.
So for now we have flogging sails and about 1kt of speed so nothing to do except delight in the fantastic full moon and frantically look at things on 4g as it will soon disappear
