So after plenty of partying in Falmouth we set off for home. The welcome we had received in Falmouth was fantastic, thanks to all the folks who stopped on the pontoons to say they liked my blog. The penguins decided to set up residence on the rail to welcome folks.

This was Purple Mist entering the River Hamble with the Azab flag still flying. Thanks to Andy Burton for coming out in his rib to welcome us

First stop on the way home was the River Yealm which lies behind this rock called Mew Stone off Plymouth. The mooring is to mid river pontoons and as we had no dingy aboard then it was more of the long life food for dinner. By chance we had moored next to the JOG secretary who welcomed us aboard his boat and share refreshments. How lucky was that?

Next day we rounded Portland Bill in virtually no wind. We had motored most of the way across Lyme bay so needed to fuel up and so took advantage of a night in Portland Marina.

Finally on Day 3 we were home, what a welcome sight the Needles were.
